Congressional Budget Battle

The Congressional budget battle between the Republicans and Democrats definitely represents business as usual on the Republican side in Washington D. C.  The Republican/Tea party Congressional delegation always have seen only one way to balance a budget, Smaller government.  Which of course translates into fewer programs/help for the poor, working class, minority, and disenfranchised people of the United States.  When we hear Tea Party Congressmen talking about cutting  spending, they're not talking about cutting corporate taxes for big business or additional taxes for large oil companies, or cutting anything that benefits wealthy people.  No, they're talking about taking away from the little working class people of our country.  Those who really can't fight them back.  Those who are only needed at election time and have very short memories.  If they really wanted to solve financial problems for the U. S. economy, they would have helped Obama close the Corporate loopholes that the Bush/Republican tax cuts for the wealthy has caused.  This would have served to close a large portion of the Federal Deficit.  Government never works for common people and we always allow it thinking that one day we will be one of "the rich and famous" and won't need government's help.  Well, I've got news for you, 99.9% of us never will be "the rich and famous".  What we need to do is take back our government when it doesn't work for the common people, the people who fund it.  We need to make congressional leaders accountable, we need to have long memories when elections roll around, and we have to realize that poor, disenfranchised, disillusioned people are only a step away from the 99% of us working class people living check to check.  There but for the grace of God.
